I used the SCRY Artic PS5 cooler, but there are other alternatives and while it does add a bit more fan noise, it had my PS5 back up and running at full speed. So if you still find your PS5 overheating fix it with an aftermarket accessory fan. If you go through the cleaning process and either immediately or very shortly thereafter find you are still having the same problem then your fans may not be cooling your console down enough anymore.
Your PS5 should be back up and running as good as new.
